I always thought it would be better to stick Paul and Ringo with Daltrey and Townshend as the Wheatles for a set and see which 1/2 of a band could botch up the other's songs worse...

So, passage of time and all, but I don't think they really liked each other.
Yessss -- the good old stereo albums where the singing tracks would be isolated from the music. The early version of karoke for some people. Try the Yesterday and Today album.
